Congratulations to our Warrior Athletes of the Week: Kamryn McArthur and Hunter McGuire!
Kamryn is a sophomore on the Varsity Girls Track team. She helped lead the Lady Warriors to their 22nd consecutive conference championship and had a great performance at Regionals with a PR in the 200m dash and helping her 4x200m relay team take 2nd place. Kamryn will be competing with the girls team at the MITCA Team State Finals this weekend in Kent City!
Hunter is a junior on the Varsity Boys Track team. He has been working hard at the most grueling event in Track & Field – the 400m dash. At Regionals, Hunter ran the 400 in windy conditions and still as only 0.07 seconds away from qualifying for the state meet. He then came back and anchored the state-qualifying 4x400m relay team with a time that was 5 seconds faster than they have ever run! Hunter has been a huge part of the track team’s success this year!
Great job this season, Kamryn and Hunter!
