Huge congratulations to this week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week, Addie Doughy and Cast Cogswell!
Addie is a senior on the Varsity Girls Bowling team. She was the top bowler for the team this past weekend in a close loss to Big Rapids. Addie has been working on her game and it shows – she threw two games in the 140s last weekend!
Cast is a sophomore on the Varsity Boys Bowling team. He was the top bowler in the boys’ win over Big Rapids! Cast has been working really hard on his game – he is climbing in the conference rankings and is becoming one of the top bowlers in the conference!

Tonight’s Middle School Girls Basketball games have been cancelled. Tonight’s Middle School & High School Wrestling match has been rescheduled for January 29.
Chippewa Hills schools will now be closed today, January 22, due to freezing weather conditions. The Little Warriors program will remain open. Stay safe and warm, Warriors!

Congratulations to this week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week, Lainey Werner and Bodie Hadder!
Lainey is a senior doing Competitive Cheer and is an all-around team player! She’s willing to do whatever is needed to help the team be successful, even if that means stepping out of her comfort zone to be a flyer for a few competitions. Lainey leads by example and gets the job done!
Bodie is a junior on the Varsity Bowling team. He took second place at this weekend’s CSAA Jamboree, missing first place by just 2 pins. Bodie is leading the conference in individual game averages with a 193 average so far this season. He’s become a great leader and is a huge part of the team’s success.
Way to go, Lainey and Bodie!

Today is the Warrior Invite for Competitive Cheer! Competition begins at 6 PM in the high school gym.
Tomorrow our JV and Varsity girls basketball teams host White Cloud. JV girls play at 5:30 and Varsity girls play at 7 PM. The JV and Varsity boys basketball teams are on the road to White Cloud, with JV playing at 5:30 and Varsity at 7 PM.
Varsity Wrestling hosts a dual with Lakeview and Tri County at 5 PM on Wednesday.
Then on Thursday our Freshman boys, JV girls, and JV boys basketball teams host Big Rapids. The Freshman boys start the action at 4 PM, followed by the JV girls at 5:30, and the JV Boys at 7 PM.
Varsity Girls and Boys basketball plays at Big Rapids on Friday with the girls tipping off at 5:30 PM, followed by the boys at 7 PM.
Saturday, Bowling competes in a CSAA Jamboree at Sheridan Lanes with the girls competing at 9 AM and boys at 1 PM. Wresting hosts the Warrior Team Tournament at 9 AM.

Hunter is a senior on the Varsity Girls Basketball team. She is Team Captain, a great defender on the court, and shows outstanding leadership for the team as well.
Austin is a senior on the Varsity Wrestling team and a dominant force for the Warriors. He was the Champion for the 2024 Joe Loren Wrestling Invitational!

Congratulations to our Middle School Athletes of the Week, Angela Ciloski and Gavin Dagley!
Angela is an 8th grader on the Middle School’s Competitive Cheer team. She is always on the move tumbling and working towards her goals. She is flexible in multiple positions on the floor and always does what is asked and needed. She is a great team player and an asset to our program.
Gavin is a leader on the 7th grade Boys Basketball team. Before break, he helped lead the Warriors to a win over Reed City with 15 points. He also put up 14 points in the game against Central Montcalm.

Our Warrior teams are all back in action this week!
Girls Basketball heads to Farwell tomorrow, with the JV team playing at 6 PM and Varsity following at 7:30 PM.
On Wednesday, Wrestling hosts Big Rapids and Central Montcalm at 5 PM in the Middle School gym. Boys Basketball hosts Farwell, with the JV game at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7 PM.
Our Freshman and JV Basketball teams head to Tri County on Thursday. The Freshman Boys team starts the action with a 4 PM game, followed by the JV Girls at 5:30 PM, and JV Boys at 7 PM.
On Friday, Varsity Girls Wrestling competes in Lakeview at 5 PM. Varsity Basketball hosts Tri County for our Elementary Night games! The Varsity Girls play at 5:30 PM and the Varsity Boys take the court at 7 PM.
Then on Saturday, Bowling competes in Sparta at 9 AM. Wrestling is splitting between the Sparta and Clare Invites, both starting at 9 AM. Competitive Cheer is on the road to the Shepherd Invite at 10 AM.

Just a reminder that 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball begins tomorrow! Practice will be from 3:15-5:15 PM in the Middle School gym. Athletes MUST have a physical on file in order to participate in practice.

Yesterday, our Varsity Boys Basketball team had the opportunity to attend the Rochester Christian College basketball game versus St. Thomas from Miami, FL. The team had a great breakfast, great seats, and witnessed several hard dunks. Rochester won 90-77 and the guys had a great time watching both teams play hard and for each other
A big shout out to senior Jon Koepf who was recently named to the 2024 Pioneer All-Area Team! Jon was a defensive tackle for the Warriors and had 51 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks this season. He also earned CSAA All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

A huge round of applause to Warrior quarterback Hunter McGuire, who has officially set two new Chippewa Hills Football records! Hunter set the records for most completed passes in a season (112) and number of attempted passes in a season (220). He also had 1,645 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in 2024!
Hunter earned Division 6 All-Region honors and CSAA All-Conference honors this year.

Huge congratulations to senior football player Gage Perkins who recently earned All-State honors as 2nd Team All-State Wide Receiver! For the 2024 season, Gage had the 2nd most receiving yards in a season in Chippewa Hills history with 51 catches, 1,001 yards ran, and 15 touchdowns! He averaged 19.6 yards per catch!
Gage also earned Division 6 All-Region honors, CSAA All-Conference honors, and made the 2024 Pioneer All-Area Team.
