Yesterday, senior Zoey Moyer signed her commitment to play softball for Principia College in Elsah, IL!
Next year she’ll be a Panther, but she’ll always be a Warrior to us!

Congratulations to freshman Dory Simon for running the #8 fastest girls 5K time in Chippewa Hills history!
Dory is a leader on the Varsity Girls Cross Country team. She helped lead the Warriors to the CSAA Red Conference Championship, earning First-Team All-Conference Honors. Dory placed 7th at Regionals, becoming an automatic qualifier for the State Finals. At the MHSAA State Finals, held on November 2 at Michigan International Speedway, Dory finished 31st in the Division 3 race, clocking in with a time of 19:20.7 – which is the #8 fastest girls 5K time in Chippewa Hills cross country history!

Congratulations to last week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week, Austin DuBois and Kody Hazen!
Austin is a freshman on the Varsity Volleyball team. Throughout the season, Austin has been a top example of grit and determination on the volleyball court. She continues to show up for her teammates by cheering for them like their biggest fan and picking them up if they are down.
Kody Hazen is a junior on the Varsity Cross Country team. He has shown tremendous growth both as a runner and as a team leader as the season progressed. Kody has worked hard day in and day out and culminated the season with a huge PR at regionals.
Way to go, Austin and Kody!
Warriors in Action: Week of November 4
Middle School Boys Basketball action starts today! The 7th & 8th grade A teams play at home against Newaygo starting at 4:00 PM. The 7th & 8th grade B teams head to Kent City with game times starting at 4:00 PM.
On Wednesday, Middle School Boys Basketball heads to Morley Stanwood for games starting at 4:00 PM. Varsity Volleyball competes in the first round of the MHSAA Districts Tournament at 5:30 PM in Big Rapids.

Good luck to our Warriors competing in the Cross Country STATE FINALS today!
Our state qualifying runners are Dory Simon and Quinn Hatfield from the girls team, and Jacob Simon from the boys team.
The State Finals are held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. Our Warriors are competing in the Division 3 races this morning – Jacob runs at 10:10 AM, Dory and Quinn run at 11:30 AM.
Good luck Dory, Quinn, and Jacob! Warrior Nation is rooting for you!

Our High School Fall Sports Banquet will be on Wednesday, November 13 at 5:30 PM in the Middle School Gymnasium.
All high school fall sport athletes and their families are invited and encouraged to attend. We’ll begin with a potluck dinner, so please bring a dish to pass. Our banquet program will start with an opening session in the gym followed by separate breakout sessions for each individual sport.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Last week’s Middle School Athletes of the Week are Piper Nash and Grettel Vera!
Piper Nash is a member of the 7th grade girls Volleyball team. Her coaches nominated her for this award for her outstanding effort and excellent team spirit!
Grettel Vera is a 6th grader on the Middle School Cross Country team. Her coaches said she is a wonderful runner who is a joy to have on the team! She’s always a positive teammate and leaves it all on the course!

Augusta is a senior on the Girls Varsity Cross Country team. She had a big race at the CSAA Championship, earning all-conference honors and pushing her team to the Conference Title!
Sophomore Kyle Johansen is a member of the Boys Varsity Cross Country team. He’s a new runner this year and because of his hard work, he’s continued to cut extreme amounts of time from his races. He’s improved by over 8 minutes and 40 seconds from the start of the year!
Great job, Augusta and Kyle!
A few of our Fall Sports teams are still in action this week!
Today, JV and Varsity Volleyball is on the road to Farwell. The JV team plays at 5:30 PM, followed by Varsity at 7:00 PM.
Then Volleyball is back in action again on Wednesday at Carson City Crystal. JV plays at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM.
Warrior Cross Country will be competing at the MHSAA State Finals on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway!

ATTENTION ATHLETES!
Starting Monday, October 28, Mr. Szombati will be opening the weight room and batting cages before school for anyone who wants to get a workout in before classes. The weight room will be open Monday-Friday from 6:45-7:30 AM. Batting cages will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-7:30 AM.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to put in some work when the weight room and gym aren’t so busy.

We have one more test scheduled for next Wednesday, October 30 at 12 PM. This allows all our Warrior families time to update their cell phone information with the school if needed.
After our October rollout, text message alerts will only be used for urgent communications like school closures and delays, power outages, emergency cancellations, building lockdowns, etc.
If you want to be ensure you're able to receive district texts, please update your cell phone number with the school by Tuesday, October 29 so you can receive the final test message on October 30.
Last week’s Middle School Athlete of the Week is Graci Martin!
Graci is a 6th grader on the Middle School Cross Country team. Her coaches nominated her for this award because she is a wonderful teammate that is always there to help and encourage everyone around her. They have greatly enjoyed having her on the team!

Last week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week are Dory Simon and Gage Perkins!
Freshman Dory Simon is a leader on the Varsity Girls Cross Country team. Last week she took 2nd place at the CSAA Red Conference Finals, earning First Team All-Conference honors and helping her team win the Conference Championship! Dory has had a great week of practice and is ready to run fast at the most important time of the year.
Gage Perkins is a senior on the Varsity Football team. At the October 11 game against Tri County, Gage had 6 catches, ran 128 yards, had one touchdown and a 37-yard touchdown run! He’s a consistent leader for the team and dominant force on the field.

The fall sports season is starting to wind down, but we have a number of teams still in action!
JV Football hosts Lakeview on Thursday for a 6:30 PM game.
On Friday, Boys and Girls Cross Country compete to earn a spot in the State Finals at Regionals at Benzie Central. The boys race at 3 PM and girls at 4:10 PM. Varsity Football heads to Lakeview for a 7 PM game kickoff.
Then on Saturday, Varsity Volleyball competes in the High School Monster Mash tournament at 9 AM at Central Montcalm.

Madison shot a two-day combined score of 165, earning 9th place overall in the Division 3 State Finals! Best finish in school history!

Chippewa Hills Cross Country is hosting the Late-Season Warrior Invitational today! 22 high school teams and 14 middle school teams will be competing on our home course at Warrior Woods.
Race times are as follows:
- 11:00 AM – Varsity Boys 5K
- 11:30 AM – Varsity Girls 5K
- 12:00 PM – JV Boys & Girls 5K
- 12:45 PM – Middle School Boys 2-Mile
- 1:15 PM – Middle School Girls 2-Mile
- 1:45 PM – Open 5K & Children’s 2-Mile Fun Run
Our home course is located on the corner of M-66 and Arthur Road, across the road from our secondary complex.
It’s going to be a gorgeous day for some fall racing!
***Big news from the Girls Golf State Finals!***
Madison Allen shot a 76 today and is currently only one shot out from first place! That was the lowest finals round in Chippewa Hills history!
She competes in Day 2 of the Finals tomorrow, starting at 10 AM.

We're wishing a huge GOOD LUCK to senior Madison Allen as she competes in the Girls Golf STATE FINALS today! The Division 3 Finals are at Bedford Valley Golf Club in Battle Creek and run through tomorrow. Competition starts at 10 AM both days.
