Anonymous individual responses will be combined with those from today’s meetings with stakeholders to provide important community input to the Chippewa Hills Board of Education as it seeks to identify the best candidate for the superintendent position. The Warriors won the Ithaca invite today shooting a season low 317! We finished with 4 of the top 10 with each earning a medal. Great job, guys!

This week’s Middle School Athletes of the Week are Nate Edwards and Paige Donovan! Nate Edwards is an outstanding middle-distance runner on the track team. At last week’s home meet he finished 1st as part of the 4x800m relay and took 2nd in the long jump. Paige Donovan is a new hurdler for the track team. She started racing in the hurdles only 2 weeks ago and has already become one of the top 10 hurdlers in our league. She ran the 200m hurdles for the first time at the Alma Panther Invitational and placed 7th out of 31 overall. Congratulations, Nate and Paige!

REMINDER: Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13 are Early Release Days. The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:15 PM.

Congratulations to our Warrior Athletes of the Week, Clay Farrell and Arianna Todd! Clay has been putting in the work as a sprinter on the track team, and it paid off this weekend at the Shepherd Invitational. He had a huge PR in the 100m dash, clocking in at 11.72 seconds and taking 6th place, and he was the only freshman in the finals. He also ran the anchor leg in two of the sprint relays for the Warriors. Arianna Todd is also an outstanding sprinter for the track team. Not only is she extremely successful on the track, but also in creating an environment for her teammates and team to succeed as well. Way to be Warriors, Clay and Ari!

We're making up a number of games this week due to cancellations earlier this season. With all of the schedule changes, we thought it might be helpful to share an updated Athletics schedule for this week.

Congratulations to Frankie Fall, our Middle School Athlete of the Week! Frankie took first in all three of her events at the Alma Panther Invitational last Friday, earning gold medals in the 200m hurdles, high jump, and as a member of the 4x200m relay. She is a team leader who demonstrates consistent hard work and sportsmanship to her teammates. Way to go, Frankie!

Congratulations to Warrior Baseball player Landon Denslow, one of our Warrior Athletes of the Week! Landon hit 2 home runs at the Reed City game on April 19! Way to go, Landon!

Our Warrior Golfers are warming up at Michigan State this morning to play Forest Akers West in the Leading Edge Invitational! Good luck today, fellas!

Varsity Soccer player Katelynn Walcutt is one of this week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week! Katelynn has averaged 20 saves per game this season! Fantastic job, Kate! (Sorry we got her mid-blink on this pic!) 😊

Our Warrior Golfers are tearing it up! Yesterday they won the Gold Division of the St. Ives Match Play Invite! Congratulations to Dylan Boerma, Tristan Maneke, Brandon Slasor, and Bode McArthur who won their individual flights. Way to go, Warriors!

Austin DuBois is one of this week’s Middle School Warrior Athletes of the Week! Austin runs a wide range of events on the track team and is crushing it in the 55m hurdles, 200m hurdles, and as a member of the 4x400m relay team! She shows tremendous leadership for the team and has an outstanding work ethic. Congratulations, Austin!

Congratulations to Gage Holton, one of our Middle School Warrior Athletes of the Week! Gage is a sprinter on the Track team and finished first in the 100m dash in the first two meets of the year. He is working hard both in the classroom and on the track. Way to go, Gage!

Congratulations to Bailey Soper-Brigner, one of our Warrior Athletes of the Week! Bailey is a member of the Varsity Softball team and stepped up when the team needed someone to pitch. She keeps her head in the game and is loud and energetic. She is a great asset to the team! Way to go, Bailey!

Varsity golfer Cameron Morgan is one of this week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week! Last week Cameron won the first CSAA Jamboree, shooting a 78. Then on Saturday, he took 3rd at the Lakeview Invite earning a medal. Congratulations, Cameron!

Congratulations to Jordan Hansen and Brayden Hunt who both signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the University of Olivet! Jordan will be playing basketball and Brayden will play football for the Comets. Congratulations, guys! You'll always be Warriors to us!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Warrior Golf Team on winning the Alma Invite yesterday! Senior Cameron Morgan was the Medalist, and Brandon Slasor and Marcus Barnes were in the top 10! Way to go, Warriors!

Congratulations to Varsity Track athlete Hannah Abbott, who is one of our Warrior Athletes of the Week! Hannah had an awesome day at the Warrior Invitational last weekend where she took first place in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. She also placed high in both the high jump and 4x100m relay! Awesome job, Hannah!

Huge shout out to Ross Snyder, one of our Warrior Athletes of the Week! Ross is a member of the Varsity Track team and his hard work has been paying off in the pole vault and long jump. Last weekend he won the pole vault at the Warrior Invitational with a height of 12’6” and also placed in the top 8 in the long jump. Congratulations, Ross!
