Our Warrior Volleyball teams are hosting Lakeview tonight for our annual PINK OUT event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! It's also Senior Night and we will be recognizing all our Senior players with a special celebration.
Our Freshmen team will start the action at 4 PM, followed by the JV team at 5:30 PM. The Varsity team hits the court at 7 PM.
We look forward to seeing you there, Warrior Nation, and remember to wear PINK!


Are you coming to Friday’s Warriors vs Cancer football game? We’re inviting all cancer warriors (those who have defeated cancer and those that are fighting) in our community to ring the victory bell during a special halftime celebration!
We will also be making luminaries to honor all our loved ones affected by cancer. Our students will make the luminaries, which will be displayed along the track throughout the evening.

Here is this week's lineup for our High School Warriors:
Tomorrow, Girls Golf competes for a spot in the state finals at the MHSAA Regionals at 11:00 AM at White Lake Golf Club. The Freshmen Volleyball team plays at Big Rapids at 5:00 PM. JV and Varsity Volleyball head to Tri County with the JV game starting at 5:30 PM and Varsity following at 7 PM.
On Thursday, Warrior Volleyball hosts Lakeview. The Freshmen team starts the action at 4 PM, followed by JV at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7 PM. JV Football is on the road to Tri County for a 6:30 PM kickoff.
Then on Friday, Varsity Football hosts Tri County at Warrior Stadium at 7 PM.

Our Middle School Athletes of the Week are Aeri Simon and Braylyn Boochard!
8th grade Volleyball player Aeri Simon is a great athlete on the court, but her coaches are most impressed by the leadership she shows to other players. No matter the score, you can always hear Aeri bringing her teammates up. She plays her heart out and is always ready to learn when practice starts. Aeri is always trying to improve herself and her teammates in a constructive way.
Braylyn Boochard is an 8th grader on the Middle School Cross Country team. This is her first year running cross country and she is doing awesome! Braylyn has had big improvements in every race and her coaches say she is such a joy to have on the team!

Congratulations to our Warrior Athletes of the Week, Jacob Simon and Hannah Simon!
Senior runner Jacob Simon is a leader on the Varsity Boys Cross Country team. He had a big race at the Grayling Invitational last week, taking 2nd place in the men’s race. He also ran a new PR at the HOKA Postal Nationals 2-Mile event last Thursday. Jacob has put in lots of hard work and dedication to his running during the off-season and it is starting to pay off big time!
Hannah Simon is a freshman golfer on the Varsity Girls Golf team. She shot her personal best 113 at the Ludington Invitational last Friday. She has been her team’s consistent #4 scorer all season. Hannah is a new golfer who has been working hard and has improved 28 strokes from her first event this year.

Our High School Basketball Program is offering a Youth Basketball Clinic for all Chippewa Hills students in grades 1-6! This clinic series will run for five Saturdays starting November 2 through December 7 (except Thanksgiving weekend) at the Middle School gym, and focuses on developing basketball skills and having fun!
Cost is $25 if paid in advance, $30 at the door. Submit the registration form, along with your payment, to your child’s school office. Registration is due by November 2. All players receive a Warriors t-shirt!

Tomorrow, Cross Country competes in a CSAA meet at Newaygo starting at 4:30 PM. All three Volleyball teams head to Grant with the Freshmen and JV teams playing at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM.
On Thursday, JV Football hosts Newaygo with game kick-off at 6:30 PM.
Friday, Girls Golf competes in Day 1 of the Katke Classic 2-Day in Big Rapids beginning at 9:00 AM. Varsity Football heads to Newaygo for a 7:00 PM game.
Then on Saturday, Varsity Volleyball hosts the Warrior Invitational starting at 8:30 AM. Girls Golf competes in Day 2 of the Katke Classic in Big Rapids. Cross Country runs in the massive Portage Invitational starting at 9:00 AM.

Cross Country runner Elsie Franklin is this week’s Middle School Athlete of the Week! Elsie has put a ton of time and dedication into her running it is starting to pay off. She is a great teammate who is always encouraging to everyone on the team.
Way to go, Elsie!


Congratulations to our Warrior Athletes of the Week: Leah Storey and Hunter Howard!
Leah Story is a junior on the Varsity Cross Country team. She had a big PR at the first CSAA Red Conference Jamboree at Grant last week, helping her team place first in the conference!
Senior Hunter Howard is a member of the Varsity Volleyball team. She is always eager to learn and eager to help, and is a solid, consistent player on the court! She’s fun to watch and is a keynote athlete that her teammates look to help pick them up if they feel down.

Warriors in Action: Week of September 23
Today, Girls Golf competes in the CSAA Championship at 9:00 AM at The Links at Bowen Lake. Both our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are competing today at the Grayling Invitational, which starts at 4:30 PM.
Warrior Volleyball hosts Big Rapids tomorrow. The Freshmen team starts the action at 4:00 PM. The JV team takes the court at 5:30 PM with Varsity following at 7:00 PM.
Thursday is a busy day for home events! First, Cross Country hosts the Hoka National 2-Mile event at 5:00 PM at Warrior Stadium. JV and Varsity Volleyball host Reed City with the JV game starting at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM. JV Football hosts White Cloud with game kickoff at 6:30 PM.
Varsity Football heads to White Cloud on Friday for a 7:00 PM game.
Then on Saturday, JV Volleyball hosts the Warrior Invitational starting at 8:30 AM.

Our Middle School Athletes of the Week are McKenna Smith and Eli Dore!
McKenna Smith is on the 8th grade volleyball team and is a leader both on and off the court. She is always trying to support the volleyball program and develop ALL students as athletes. She is a phenomenal player and works her hardest each and every practice!
8th grader Eli Dore is a member of the Middle School Boys Cross Country team. He was nominated by his coach because he has been a great leader on the team this season.
Way to go, McKenna and Eli!



This week’s Warrior Athletes of the Week are Madison Allen and Tanner Carlson!
Senior Madison Allen is a leader on the Varsity Girls Golf Team. She was a medalist (meaning she was the best golfer in the entire field) in the team’s last two events, shooting a 75 and 76. Madison led the team to a first-place victory at the Lakeview Lady Cat Invite.
Tanner Carlson is a sophomore on the Varsity Boys Cross Country team. He had a huge race at the Spartan Invite at Michigan State University last week, moving up in the race and getting a nice PR!

REMINDER: Monday, September 23 is an Early Release Day for students. The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools are released at 12:15 PM.
