Leigha Compson is our Middle School Counselor. In addition to supporting our students in their academic and social/emotional development, Leigha helps students with goal setting, career exploration, and class schedules. This is her 4th year at Chippewa Hills and she is grateful to work with the amazing staff, students and families within our district! Leigha worked as a K-12 school counselor prior to coming to Chippewa Hills, and before that she worked in community counseling as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) for a mental health agency.
Leigha is a Chippewa Hills alum who graduated from Hope College with double majors in business management and psychology. She earned her master’s degree in Counselor Education/Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and returned for a post-master’s degree in School Counseling. Leigha enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing with her family. Her family runs a hobby farm, working together to take care of their horses, alpacas, chickens, and various 4-H animals every year.
