CONGRATULATIONS to our High School Writing Club who are this year’s CSAA Language Arts Activities League CHAMPIONS!
Writing Club participates in three competitions each year. This year’s writing competitions included descriptive writing, editorial writing, and poetry. Out of 6 teams, our Warriors finished first in descriptive writing, second in editorial, and tied for third in poetry, earning them the first-place overall standing! This is the first time Chippewa Hills has earned the league championship!
The last two years have been rebuilding years for the Writing Club as seniors have graduated and younger club members have brought in more friends to participate. Most of the students who join Writing Club do so during their junior or senior years, but we have had a few who joined as freshmen and encouraged their friends to join as well. Writing Club often holds a poetry reading as an end of the year celebration at The Corner Cup, which is a great location to read poetry while enjoying a treat!

Our January 15, 2024, PD was canceled due to weather, along with school that morning, for all staff and students. This situation requires us to make up the time to ensure our staff receive the required amount of hours for PD. March 4, 2024, will be the newly scheduled make-up day for PD with students in attendance the first half of the day. The district appreciates your accommodation to this calendar change as we fulfill our obligations to the state and meet the needs of our staff. Thank you for your understanding.
