Schedule your child’s sports physical ASAP at the Chippewa Hills Wellness Center! The fall sports season kicks off August 12 and all athletes must have a completed physical BEFORE they can begin practice. The CHWC gets VERY busy right before the start of season and August appointment availability is already limited. The Wellness Center’s team is encouraging parents to schedule sports physicals during July to help alleviate the August rush. ATTENTION ROCKET FOOTBALL & CHEER PARENTS: Sign up is next week and all 7th and 8th grade athletes MUST have a current physical in order to participate. A HUGE congratulations to Chippewa Hills’ first ever Skeet Shooting team who finished 2nd in the State Championships yesterday in Mason! Senior Robert Kelly is State Champion with a score of 99/100! Congratulations Warriors and best of luck today in the Trap Shooting division!!

Our Summer Feeding program begins today! We will be handing out 7-day food bags at Barryton, Mecosta, and Weidman Elementary each Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Food bags can also be picked up at our Middle School loading dock every Wednesday from 4-6 PM. These meals are available to all children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled. Please help spread the word!

REMINDER: Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5 are half days and Wednesday is the last day of school! The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools will be released at 12:15 PM.

Our Warrior Wellness Center is seeking volunteers to serve on its Community Advisory Council! The Community Advisory Council is made up of parents, school staff, healthcare professionals, social workers, and more! This group oversees the vision and goals of our school wellness program. Council members are only required to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per year. If you’re interested in joining the Community Advisory Council, please attend the next Council meeting on Wednesday, May 29 at 3:15 in the High School Media Center. If you’re unable to attend the meeting in person, please email qgriffin@dhd10.org for a link to attend the meeting virtually.
