REMINDER: Monday, September 23 is an Early Release Day for students. The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools are released at 12:15 PM.

COMING MONDAY: Say "hello" to parent-teacher chat and classroom announcements in the CHSD Warriors app with a new feature called Rooms! Now it's easier than ever to stay up-to-date with the district, schools, AND with your student's teachers and classes. On Monday, parents and guardians will receive a personalized invitation via text and email to create their login access to Rooms within the CHSD app. If you haven't done so already, be sure to download the CHSD Warriors app to your phone. It's free in the Google Play and Apple App Store.

Exciting news! All Chippewa Hills students will now get FREE ADMISSION at all home athletics events! Middle School and High School students must show their student ID. All students ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. See you at the games, Warriors!

Save the dates for High School Registration! - Tuesday, August 6: Registration & Pictures for Juniors & Seniors, 12-6 PM - Wednesday, August 7: Registration & Pictures for Freshmen & Sophomores, 12-6 PM - Thursday, August 8: Registration & Pictures makeup day for all students, 12-6 PM - Thursday, August 8: Mosaic School Registration, 3-6 PM Picture forms will be mailed directly to students’ homes from Geskus Photography. Be on the lookout as they should arrive soon!

Our Summer Feeding program begins today! We will be handing out 7-day food bags at Barryton, Mecosta, and Weidman Elementary each Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM. Food bags can also be picked up at our Middle School loading dock every Wednesday from 4-6 PM. These meals are available to all children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled. Please help spread the word!

REMINDER: Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5 are half days and Wednesday is the last day of school! The High School and Middle School will be released at 12:00 PM. Elementary Schools will be released at 12:15 PM.

Have you made your voice heard? The Chippewa Hills Board of Education wants to hear from you on the qualities, experiences, and skills needed for the new superintendent. Today is the last day to participate in the online community input survey. If you haven’t done so already, please share your thoughts with the Board! Our Warrior Wellness Center is seeking volunteers to serve on its Community Advisory Council! The Community Advisory Council is made up of parents, school staff, healthcare professionals, social workers, and more! This group oversees the vision and goals of our school wellness program. Council members are only required to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per year. If you’re interested in joining the Community Advisory Council, please attend the next Council meeting on Wednesday, May 29 at 3:15 in the High School Media Center. If you’re unable to attend the meeting in person, please email qgriffin@dhd10.org for a link to attend the meeting virtually.

REMINDER: If you’d like to share your perspectives on the qualities, experiences, and skills needed for the new superintendent, please plan to attend tonight’s Community Input Meeting at 6 PM in the High School Media Center. If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, input may also be shared via an online survey, available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/chsuptsearch The survey is being administered by the Michigan Association of School Boards’ Executive Search team on behalf of CHSD and takes about ten minutes to complete. Anonymous individual responses will be combined with those from today’s meetings with stakeholders to provide important community input to the Chippewa Hills Board of Education as it seeks to identify the best candidate for the superintendent position.
