Welcome to the Chippewa Hills School District

We are thrilled to have you visiting our website.  Please plan on visiting this site for up-to-date information and resources.

Our School District

Our school district educates approximately 2,500 students a year. We take pride in the programs and services that we provide our children.

CHS Location

Chippewa Hills School District is located in the “middle of the mitten” nestled between Central Michigan University and Ferris State University.  Our district encompasses 387 square miles in portions of Isabella, Mecosta and Osceola counties.  There are three elementary schools, one intermediate school, one high school and an alternative school for students in grades 8th-12th.

Recreation

The area abounds with recreational activities.  Amidst the more than 25 lakes and rivers, there are opportunities for fishing, boating, water skiing and swimming.  Nearby are hunting areas, cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails and golf courses.

Towns & Resort Communities

The Chippewa Hills area is largely rural.  We are located less than 100 miles from Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Saginaw.  Chippewa Hills is comprised of the small towns of Barryton, Mecosta, Remus, and Weidman.  The district also includes the resort communities of Canadian Lakes, Chippewa Lake, and Lake Isabella.

We are here to serve the children and community in this wonderful school district.  Please feel free to browse our website to learn more about the Chippewa Hills Family!
