Principal's Message
Weidman Elementary has an exceptional staff committed to ensuring that your child(ren) receive(s) a quality education in a supportive, safe, nurturing enrironment. It is our goal that all children will be successful learners and reach their potential.
The staff sets high expectations for both academics and behavior. Student achievement is our primary focus. Weidman has a building discipline plan, which is communicated to parents at the beginning of each year. However, the emphasis is not on the negative but instead on the positive. Students are rewarded each month for appropriate behavior and an award assembly is held at the end of the year.
Weidman Elementary houses preschool through fourth grade and serves approximately 340 students in these grades. The school day for students will be 7:45am to 3:15pm.
We know that parent involvement increases a student's academic success. Therefore, we urge each parent to become knowledgeable about the learning expectations for your student and to work with your child's teacher to promote learning at home. We encourage parents to attend parent-teacher conferences, to volunteer in classrooms, attend parent club meetings and to help with and/or attend special events.
If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (989) 644-3430. Office hours are 7:30am-3:30pm. Once again, welcome to our school!
