At Chippewa Hills High School, we are dedicated to supporting students as they navigate through high school and prepare for a successful future. Our comprehensive services include Academic Advising, Student Records, Educational Development Plan (EDP) Creation, Scheduling, College Applications, Scholarships, and guidance on peer relationships. We understand that high school can be challenging, and we are here to help you through every step of the journey.

Our Team

Jodi Bloss-Ehnis

Jodi Bloss-Ehnis

Jodi Bloss-Ehnis is our High School Counselor. She helps students with their academic planning, including class selection, graduation requirements, post-secondary plans, career planning and all the steps required to get there. She also provides social and emotional development support by helping students to manage stress and deal with personal issues, as well as connecting individuals to outside services when needed. Jodi has worked at Chippewa Hills for 33 years and worked as the Band Director prior to becoming the High School Counselor. She loves watching her students grow into young adults and celebrating their successes with them.

Jodi earned both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Music Education from Western Michigan University. She also holds a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Grand Valley State University.

Known for her love of music, Jodi plays saxophone in the Key West Permafrost Blues Band. She also enjoys playing golf, kayaking, doing puzzles, and playing cards.

Amber Pinnow

Amber Pinnow is our Social Emotional Wellness Coach for the High School and Mosaic School. In this role, Amber works with students that need a little extra support with social skills, attendance and behavior. This is her first year at Chippewa Hills and she previously worked as a school counselor at schools in the Upper Peninsula and Colorado. She has loved getting to know our High School and Mosaic School students!

Amber holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from New Mexico State University, a master of Arts degree in Counseling from Adam’s State University in Colorado, and is currently licensed as a Professional School Counselor and Limited Licensed Professional Counselor.

In her free time, Amber likes to read historical fiction and watch Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Outlander.
