Rules Regarding Addressing the Board During Public Comment
|There shall be a time set aside in the agenda labeled "Public Comment" as stated in the Board of Education Policy #9341.3. This time shall be used by members of the public who wish to address the board over issues pertaining to school operation. No other discussion shall be permitted on items listed on the agenda.
- All persons addressing the board shall identify themselves by name after being recognized to speak.
- Persons wishing to address the board shall wait for recognition from the presiding officer.
- There shall be a maximum of 30 minutes used for this section of the board meeting. Individuals addressing the board shall be limited to 5 minutes per item.
- Any public debate on any issues shall not be permitted during the meeting.
